On Farm Fun!

FUN FOR THE KIDS

The farm is a great place for kids to have some fun! At Quarry Hill Orchards, you will not be escorted through long lines of corn mazes and goofy golf. Our goal is to provide your children with an authentic, realistic, outdoor, working farm experience….we want your children to leave here with a memory and an experience of where apples come from!

fun for kids

To cater this experience, kids can enjoy picking their own apples from the orchard, touring the farm in our tractor-pulled wagon, running around on the grassy lawn, playing with our very gentle golden retrievers Walter and London, snacking on some complimentary caramel apple slices, a cup of fresh cider, or a bag of popcorn.  Kids will also love taking a walk through the woods at Edison Preserve. Strollers and wagons welcome.

Moms and Dads: we don’t “officially” have a designated diaper changing or nursing area – please feel free to ask a staff member for a more private area to conduct these important tasks during your visit.

Safety Minute: we are a working farm – please keep an eye on your little ones – we don’t want anyone getting hurt, or getting into trouble with our equipment, vehicles, or tools. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

Quarry Cones Real Fruit Ice Cream!

Treat your family to real fruit ice cream, made with our own fruit, picked at its peak and frozen at our orchard. Our friendly Swirl Specialists scoop the frozen fruit into a special machine and blend it into creamy vanilla ice cream for a unique frozen treat, made right in front of you. It’s the craveable taste of ice cream your kids love with all the benefits of fresh, quality fruit! Enjoy Quarry Cones at the Scoop Shop in the Market Barn, wander through the orchard, or bring your treats onto the lawn as the perfect end to a picnic.

STAY FOR A PICNIC

We have plenty of lawn space available to share with you and your family.

picnicing

After you’ve enjoyed the farm activities, we invite you to extend your visit with a picnic lunch, let the kids run around and play with the farm dogs, and relax on a quilt with some fresh air.
