We’ve been fortunate to collaborate and celebrate our combined love for growing, preparing, and sharing food together with some pretty amazing friends (and chefs) right here from Northeast Ohio. Our Orchards, Market Barn, and estate-grown wine (from Quarry Hill Winery) make for a unique dining experience and are available as a venue destination for Farm to Table collaborations. SPICE CATERING CO. PLATED LANDSCAPE: APPLE HARVEST DINNER – NOVEMBER 12, 2022

Celebrate autumn’s harvest with a four-course wine dinner that incorporates food from the orchards, wine from the vineyards, and the gems of the season’s harvest. The evening begins with a signature beverage and farm-inspired passed hors d’oeuvres. Then, we’re introduced to the evening’s host(s) – the farmers! The group embarks on a 30-45 minute tour of the farm before gathering inside the new historic Market Barn at Quarry Hill Orchards. Spice Catering Co.’s Plated Landscapes are sure to be the most unique dining experience of your summer season!

DENA’S TABLE: SEASONAL SUPPER AT QUARRY HILL ORCHARDS – SEPTEMBER 30, 2021

Join us Thursday, September 30th for an intimate evening with the Gammie family, along with local home cook, Dena Fisher and family at the orchard. We’ll be dishing up the dirt for a seasonal supper at Quarry Hill Orchard and Farm to honor the beautiful flavors of fall. Bounties of apples, squash, delicate herbs, local meats and cheeses will bring us together around the table right in the heart of the apple orchard.

Quarry Hill wine pairings will accompany each of the four courses in an expertly crafted meal by Dena Fisher, owner of Dena’s Table and creator of Dinner In. Drawing on her experience of growing up in the garden, Dena’s food represents her love for the earth and her philosophy that food connects us to one another and to our communities.


EARTH TO TABLE DINNER – OCTOBER 26, 2019

The Culinary Vegetable Institute welcomes the Gammie family of Quarry Hill Orchards for our third annual mid-summer gathering to share their story and lessons learned on a family farm. Join our friends and neighbors Bill, Jacque, Ben and Brooke to hear their perspectives on the generational transition of their orchard, as well as its deep history.

Served family style, platters will brim with fruit ripe from the orchard. The menu will also include tomatoes, squash, beans and several more summer selections from The Chef’s Garden.

THE APPLE DINNER – OCTOBER 4, 2019

We invite you to enjoy an evening of fine dining in the orchard at Spice Catering Co.’s Plated Landscapes dinners, Northeast Ohio’s first and finest “earth-to-table” dining experience. You’ll enjoy five-courses, expertly paired with wines, featuring ingredients you may have just picked yourself.

CVI Chef Jamie Simpson will prepare a multi-course dinner at the Culinary Vegetable Institute that pairs his creative vision with ingredients that have all traveled distances that we suppose could be measured in acres rather than miles.  Served family style, the platters will brim with peaches, nectarines, brambles, early pears, and summer apples- all picked straight from Quarry Hill Orchards and still warm from the sun. Side by side on the menu will be the tomatoes, squash, beans – potentially the expression of the entirety of the 800 varieties of vegetables from the soil of The Chef’s Garden – full summer and early fall converging at the most bountiful time on the farm.  Tables will be set outdoors.  Purchase tickets here.

Walden CC Farm to Table

Quarry Hill Orchards will be featured at Walden Country Club‘s Farm to Table Dinner on October 4th.  This is the last of their seasonal dinner series which offer people not only a chance to enjoy food that is fresh from local farms but also meet the farmers who produced it.  In addition to dinner, mini, or pop-up, farmers’ markets and live music will be present.

oberlin food hub farm to feast – september 17, 2016

Farm to Feast will host 50 guests on Saturday, September 17th from 4-9pm on a group tour (via bus) of three farms, ending with a Farm to Table dinner at Quarry Hill Orchards where guests will enjoy a meal designed by celebrity chef, Sean Conroy of Market Garden Brewery, a popular establishment in Ohio City. This feast will feature products from the four featured farms.

The tour departs from and returns to downtown Oberlin, with three stops including: Tyler’s Farm, Legion Field Urban Farm, and Mulberry Creek Herb Farm

Post dinner, guests will return to downtown Oberlin where they will enjoy a “farmtail,” a cocktail that features local produce, at 1833, the new farm-to-table restaurant at the new Hotel at Oberlin.
