This event will highlight the peak of harvest, the turning of the leaves, and an appreciation for all things local.  This event is free and open to the public.

Quarry Hill Orchards has teamed up with local and regional favorites to bring a full day of flavors, engaging activities, and unique keepsakes for all ages.

antique tractor show – OCTOBER 8-9, 2016

antique tractor showThe Early Days Gas Engine and Tractor Association will be hosting their annual “Antique Tractor Show” at Quarry Hill Orchards on October 8th and 9th.   Bring the kids to explore antique tractors, machines from the past, buzz saw, burr mill, hit & miss engines, corn sheller, blacksmith, handmade brooms, rug weaving, seed potato cutters, knitting, and classic cars.

Kiddie tractor pull is on Saturday at 2:00pm.  Prizes for all age groups.

farm to table dinners at walden – october 4, 2016

Walden CC Farm to TableQuarry Hill Orchards will be featured at Walden Country Club‘s Farm to Table Dinner on October 4th.  This is the last of their seasonal dinner series which offer people not only a chance to enjoy food that is fresh from local farms but also meet the farmers who produced it.  In addition to dinner, mini, or pop-up, farmers’ markets and live music will be present.

Harvest HappeningsPlanning to attend the best family festival in Erie County?  Quarry Hill Orchards satellite farmers market will be there with fresh apples, cider, apple fritters and more!  Two days of fun-packed activities for everyone—Firelands Pioneer Power Assn. Tractor & Engine Display, children’s pedal-pull, Back to the Wild display, Pony Rides with the Ohio Horseman’s Council of Erie County, Dr. Insecta and a spider stroll, live music, food and craft vendors, Sandusky Children’s Museum activities, MetroParks Nature tent, hay rides, and much, much more!!

oberlin food hub farm to feast – september 17, 2016


Farm to Feast will host 50 guests on Saturday, September 17th from 4-9pm on a group tour (via bus) of three farms, ending with a Farm to Table dinner at Quarry Hill Orchards where guests will enjoy a meal designed by celebrity chef, Sean Conroy of Market Garden Brewery, a popular establishment in Ohio City. This feast will feature products from the four featured farms.

The tour departs from and returns to downtown Oberlin, with three stops including: Tyler’s Farm, Legion Field Urban Farm, and Mulberry Creek Herb Farm

Post dinner, guests will return to downtown Oberlin where they will enjoy a “farmtail,” a cocktail that features local produce, at 1833, the new farm-to-table restaurant at the new Hotel at Oberlin.

Rev3 Cedar Point will take place over the course of two days.  The Sprint distance & Kids triathlons will take place on Saturday September 10, 2016 and the Half & Full distance triathlons will take place on Sunday September 11, 2016.




Join Ohioans from across the state in a celebration of local foods August 7-13, 2016.  Quarry Hill Orchards is working with OSU Extension educators to help showcase local food producers in Northern Ohio.  Our on-farm market (open daily 9am-6pm) sources local produce (peppers, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, corn, melons, etc.) and artisan food products (bread, pasta, honey, jams, relishes, etc.) from Northern Ohio’s farmers and food entrepreneurs.  Look for the Ohio Proud Logo in our market barn to identify these products.    

You are invited to participate in the $10 Ohio Local Foods Challenge by committing to spend at least ten dollars (or more) on your favorite local foods during Ohio Local Foods Week (sign up here).  Come out to the farm to purchase some local food and complete this challenge.  Learn more about Ohio Local Foods Week and follow this event on Facebook and Twitter using #localfoodsOH.
