Q: How do I pick my own fruit at Quarry Hill Orchards?  

A: We have an established procedure for a successful Pick-Your-Own visit that starts with an advance purchase online here. Upon arrival, check in with our staff at the Market Barn before entering the orchard to get directions for taking home the best possible quality fruit. On busy weekends, check in at the Pick Your Own Tent in the orchard before heading out! 

Please note that Mother Nature is in charge and exact harvest dates will vary! If you are traveling a long distance with expectations to pick your own fruit, please call ahead (419-588-2858) to confirm availability. Our fruit is weather-dependent and varies daily.

Q: What’s provided for pick-your-own fruit experiences? 

A: Our staff at the Market Barn will provide everything you need for a successful fruit-picking experience! You’ll receive picking instructions, baskets, directions, and any other materials. 

Q: What should I bring for pick-your-own fruit experiences? 

A: Our grounds are flat but extensive, so comfortable shoes are essential! We also recommend you bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat to keep cool on warmer days. Don’t forget the camera or smartphone to capture orchard memories! 

Q: Are the orchards and berry patches accessible for strollers or mobility assistance devices? 

A: It’s an all-terrain experience at our orchards. It’s possible to use strollers and mobility assistance devices in dry conditions, but please call us (419-588-2858) to ask based on the weather.  

Q: When is pick-your-own season?  

A: It varies by fruit and weather conditions on an annual basis. You can follow this general timeframe for pick-your-own fruit, but PLEASE call ahead to confirm!
